After serving 35 years, it is no surprise that the world has changed dramatically. Still, Baran can't help but be shocked to discover that his home village is now underwater thanks to the construction of a new dam. He then heads for Istanbul to get revenge upon his former best friend, the man who snitched on him and stole his lover Keje. Along the way, Baran teams up with Cumali, a tough young punk who finds the thief's old-fashioned ways rather quaint. When Cumali gets into deep trouble with a crime boss, Baran adds another vengeful task to his roster.。NHK大河ドラマ第18作。 明治維新における勝者たる薩摩藩と、敗者の会津藩。この対極に位置する両藩の下級武士二人を主人公に、明治という時代の光と影を浮き彫りにしたドラマ。大河初のオリジナル脚本で、主人公の二人を含め主要な登場人物はすべてこのドラマのために創造された。これ以前にも大河において架空の人物が登場することはあったが、主人公に据えるのは本作が初めてである。配役面では、テレビに出ない最後の大物と言われた菅原文太の起用に成功。鶴田浩二の出演とならびファンを沸かせた。また、音楽を手掛けるのはそれまでクラシック出身の作曲家が主流だった中で、ロックを色調とした宇崎竜童はきわめて異彩を放つ。劇中において歌詞のついた挿入歌が流れるのもまた大河では初めてのことであった。 01第一回 パリ万国博覧会02第二回対決のパリ 03第三回 セーヌのめぐり逢い ...。
