本片改编自女作家玛格丽特·杜拉斯1968年创作的舞台剧，法国国宝级女演员夏洛特·甘斯布和新获凯撒奖最佳男主角提名的尼尔斯·施内德主演，讲述富豪太太苏珊娜和她的情人在海边别墅的一天。导演伯努瓦·雅克曾师从杜拉斯，善于捕捉女性心理的微妙变化，他以娴熟的舞台化场面调度搭配海边光影的变化，加上甘斯布的精彩演绎，将一位表面高冷但内心惶恐、在婚姻和情感上自欺欺人的富家太太诠释得丝丝入扣。影片入选2021年香港国际电影节展映单元。。Mr. Tomasz, who sometimes introduced himself as Tomasz the Vagabond, was called by his friends Mr. Samochodzik.
