建筑学教授埃里克继承了他父亲在哥本哈根北部的别墅。他的妻子安娜提议可以在公寓中建立一个小小的群居公社，邀请他们的朋友一同前来居住。于是，形形色色的男人、女人和孩子经过“面试”来到结束，群居生活却很快从一派其乐融融中生出了诸多不和谐的纠葛……。A group of happy animal friends live in a beautiful big forest. One day, unusual things start to happen: the Owl has gone missing, and the river spills over and is getting closer to their homes. Led by the Fox and the Hare, the animals unite in search of their friend the Owl, to find out what is going on, and to save their homes…。
