影片讲述了一高中生打算组装一辆卡车准备出出风头，但是报废车辆的零件哪有那么好用。这是，小镇上出现了一个类似章鱼的大怪兽，不知道从哪里来，但是这头怪兽竟然能躲进卢卡斯的卡车里，并且和卡车融为一体，就这样，卢卡斯拥有了惊世骇俗的怪兽卡车，去到哪里都是如履平地、所向披靡。。两个东德小子在柏林墙倒下后携带着简单行李、少的可怜的盘缠、及更屈指可数的英语词汇量来到美国，从纽约一路费尽周折前往旧金山，一个是为了寻父，一个是为了一睹金门大桥。受共产主义的影响，他们最喜欢的英语口头禅就是friendship，于是一路上他们逢凶化吉、奇遇无数，friendship让他们由头至尾不离不弃。。Mickey and Pluto take a trip to the beach, and as the formula goes, the dog gets into mishaps that he is unable to explain to Mickey.
