圣诞节前夜，一群荷枪实弹的军人闯进了英国一条平静的死胡同，用枪逼迫居民回到家中，这里的居民毫无防备地卷入了一个暴力、恐怖、偏执的世界。单身妈妈绝望的想要保护对街的女儿。居民们很快发现，他们面对的危险远远超过任何想象，他们的性命堪忧。该片选取兰州牛肉面作为表现对象，牛肉面不仅仅是地方小吃，而且是兰州城市文化的一个记录标本，是一个活的证明，沉淀了历史的记忆。本片通过留学生吴秋成（音）在德国开一家牛肉面馆的故事线索，从中西方文化差异的比较中探寻牛肉面的历史故事，以及它所蕴含的文化意义。。A group of 10 disparate people, strangers to each other, have all traveled to Africa believing they have won a fabulous vacation safari.
