故事发生在一家复古英式酒店，经理石月，从工作到生活，过得像数学公式，无瑕疵且没毛病，年复一年如出一辙。无聊日子终于被一个意外假期所颠覆，妻子怀孕、乌龙旅途、神秘房客……匪夷所思的离奇事件不断上演，无趣严谨的生活被打破，通关打怪般的解决危机，新生活会不会就在眼前……。大学生铃木一郎（渡浩之 饰）是一个其貌不扬的青年，但他却有着不为人知的神奇能力。他自幼就能看到游离在身边的鬼魂，并能与他们交谈，不过铃木始终对这个能力懵懵懂懂。 圣诞前夜，他搬到一幢新的公寓。原本收拾房间便是一件让人心烦的事情，偏偏还有很多不知趣的人前来打扰。铃木烦躁地送走许多不速之客，但是有那么几个人让他无计可施。俏皮可爱的娜娜（鈴木蘭々 饰）和她的伙伴马尔（Dave Spector 饰）执意要进入铃木的房间，双方为此展开神奇而有趣的攻防战，铃木更被他们好好捉弄了一番。不过他最终得知，娜娜一行人原来是天上派下来的天使，他们要在圣诞夜为孤魂野鬼们熬制温暖灵魂的鬼汤，铃木的房间刚好就是鬼魂即将聚集的所在……。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
