年轻的气象学家帕特·科迪兹发明了一种能计算天气的公式，被天气保险员罗伯特·本森无意中发现。罗伯特为了得到公式，假意接近帕特，天性善良的帕特对罗伯特渐生好感。与此同时，罗伯特的上司布劳伊与帕特的老板麦克狼狈为奸，偷走了帕特的公式笔记，并企图寻找买家将其出售……。上野树里在结束大河剧拍摄后，为“テレビ東京”电视台拍摄纪录片，探寻日本樱花的起源。途经尼泊尔-喜马拉雅、中国云南省、冲绳、地震灾区岩手等地，历时半年，行程5400公里，体验各地风土人情，感悟樱花与人的羁绊。。A group of young offenders are delivered to an island for a week of character building exercises after one of their fellow inmates commits suicide..
