"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。今作は「量産型リコ -プラモ女子の人生組み立て記-」の世界とは異なる、“もう1つの世界”を生きる主人公・小向璃子の成長を描くホビーヒューマンドラマ。璃子は大学時代に友人と立ち上げたスタートアップ企業、ドリームクレイジーの社長として登場する。。
