这是一部当代亲情剧。经历过一场失败婚姻的顾锦朝，十几年后，工作生活皆一败涂地。在一个炎热的夏天上午，一个讨债少年拿着一份十几年前顾锦朝写下的欠条上门讨债。在两人的矛盾碰撞中，一个让顾锦朝不敢相信的埋藏了十几年的秘密，悄然浮上水面。White Lies is described as an “urgent exploration of race and privilege, inequality and identity.” Set in the wealthy neighbourhood of Bishopscourt, Cape Town, the series is described as following investigative journalist Edie Hansen (Dormer) as she gets caught up in the ugly underbelly that lies beneath the picturesque beauty of the city, dragging her back to a turbulent past....。
