故事描述莱恩（吉诺亚拿尼亚饰）的妹妹在几个月前失踪了，他认为她失踪的原因是玩了网路上流传的“电梯游戏”，传说只要照着特定步骤操作电梯，就可以前往另一个次元。为了找到妹妹，莱恩说服他的朋友们一同进行电梯游戏，此举却为他们招来无法挽回的后果……。女游戏设计师宋灵灵意外被自己设计的游戏NPC附身后，被迫和“甲方”萧然开启啼笑皆非的同居生活。两人一边修复游戏bug，一边修复“自身bug”，从欢喜冤家到惺惺相惜，与身边的朋友张云飞等一起，在虚拟与现实的双时空之间，经历种种冒险，发展一场跨次元的爱恋！最终收获了各自的友情和爱情。。Can an adventure turn into the worst nightmare ever?
